Head of PE is an 'IRONMAN'!
The Piggott School’s new Head of Physical Education has had quite a summer. Katie Talbot competed in her first full Ironman competition and smashed her expected time – storming home in under 16 hours after completing a superhuman 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and finally a 26.2 mile run in the beautiful Bolton countryside. "It was one of the worst; but best days ever! Crossing the line and hearing the words 'You are an Ironman' was just a great feeling and took the pain away for a few minutes." Katie was very pleased to check in to see physiotherapist Carrie Mattinson of Complete Physiotherapy after the event. Praising her medical support she said, "I think I would have been in trouble if I hadn’t seen Carrie as part of my preparation".
