Dave Kershaw

Physiotherapist, Managing Director

Dave qualified in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia in 2001 having already completed a degree in Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Surrey in 1998. Since qualifying he has held many prestigious physiotherapy positions in the elite sporting arena including Head Physiotherapist for Lancashire County Cricket Club and Oldham Athletic Football Club and Consultant Physiotherapist for Bristol City FC. Dave started his career at the Centre of Sporting Excellence at Bath University working with Commonwealth and Olympic athletes and has also worked for the English Cricket Board. By working in these sporting environments and treating the likes of Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, James “Jimmy” Anderson and Muttiah Muralitharan , Dave has developed specialist expertise in the treatment and rehabilitation of spinal, shoulder, knee and ankle disorders.

Alongside his training and experience from the world of professional sport, Dave has personal sporting interests and accolades most notably having competed in National swimming competitions, representing Harlequins RFC and running many half and full marathons. He has also completed an Ironman is less than 12 hours which is quite an achievement!


 Kirsty Myles

Physiotherapy Manager

BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Kirsty Myles qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Oxford Brookes University in 2009.

Specialist Interest groups: Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP)

Kirsty has a strong sporting pedigree predominantly in rowing, having represented Great Britain at junior, under 23 and senior level winning medals at every event. Having been forced to retire with a back injury in 2011 she turned to triathlon in 2014.  Kirsty is a successful Age Group triathlete having represented GB at the European Championships in 2015 and 2016 over sprint distance. In 2016 and 2017 Kirsty increased her distance to Ironman 70.3 and competed at National and European competitions finishing within the top 3 in age group and the World Ironman 70.3 Championships.

Since qualifying she has worked in both the private practice and NHS sectors in Henley-on-Thames and London. Kirsty joined the Complete Physiotherapy team in 2014 and works between Caversham and Henley. Kirsty has a keen interest in acupuncture, biomechanical dysfunctions and sports related injuries as well as injury prevention and subsequent performance enhancement. She is starting her Masters Degree at UCL in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health in September.

Her sports rehabilitation background has been invaluable when working with sports clubs including Wasps Academy, Reading University Rowing Club, Clapham Chasers and Henley College Rugby.


 Andrea Colombi

MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Andrea is a lifelong learning, critical thinking physiotherapist with expertise on the most common muscoloskeletal problems and a particular interest in chronic pain.

As a keen sportsman himself, Andrea began his academic studies in 2006 with a degree in Sport, Strength and Conditioning Science (University of Pavia – Italy). As an ex-football player he can fully understand the passion and need for a speedy return to full fitness after an injury, as well as a desire to stay at the top of the game and remain in peak physical performance.

Attracted to the world of manual therapy with a keen interest in how the human body functions he continued his studies graduating in Physiotherapy in 2010 (University of Pavia – Italy). He achieved the title of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapist (OMPT) in 2016 completing a Master’s degree at the University of Genova (Italy).

He is also currently studying for an MSc in Pain Science and Management at Keele University.

As an evidence-based therapist he has adopted a multidimensional clinical-reasoning approach to patient examination and management in order to identify the various and relevant underlying drivers of pain and disability for each individual.


David Pardey

MSc BSc(Hons) PgCert MCSP HCPC Registered

David qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of the West of England, Bristol and has worked either in the National Health Service or private practice continually for 15 years treating various traumatic, orthopaedic and sports related conditions.

Most recently, David worked as an Extended Scope Physiotherapist for 7 years within a Spinal and Musculoskeletal Assessment Service, assessing and treating many challenging cases, working closely with GPs, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and pain management consultants.  This experience has given him considerable knowledge and expertise in many complex back and neck conditions.

David has gained many postgraduate qualifications, including a postgraduate certificate in supplementary prescribing and is qualified to perform soft tissue and joint cortisone injection therapy.   He is also fully qualified to perform acupuncture, which he finds can be a hugely beneficial adjunct to the more traditional manual and exercise therapies.

In his spare time David enjoys sports and has a keen love for animals, having gained a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy with distinction, from the University of the West of England, Bristol.


Noelia Mendoza

MCSP, HPC Registered

Noelia, graduated in Physiotherapy in 2011 from the University of Almería, in which her favorite subjects were hydrotherapy, massotherapy and neurology. For this reason, she qualified in neurodegenerative diseases in 2012 and she specialised in Le Metayer Method, a method to treat children with cerebral palsy. Since graduating she has been working in a retirement home and in clinics where she became interested in manual techniques. She furthered her interest in manual techniques by studying Advanced Manual Techniques in 2013 from University of Jaen. There, she learnt osteopathy, visceral manipulation, neurodynamics and dry needling.

In 2014, she started to work in a physiotherapy clinic in Jaén, where she enjoyed working in a sporting environment. She had the chance of treating the players of Linares Deportivo CF (third division), Basketball Linares Club and Triathlon Club and treated Juanfra Lopez – Trial World Champion 1990 and twice Spanish trial champion 2001 and 2002. In 2014 she took a mat based Pilates course and she specialised in Reformer Pilates  as a part of the treatment in chronic back pain.

In her free time, she enjoys going to dance classes, travelling, training in Pilates, going to the gym and hiking. Her next challenge is attempting the Big W Route in Patagonia, Argentina.


Rachel Doyle

BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM)

Rachel qualified in 2014 from Sheffield Hallam University with a 1st BSc (Hons) and became a registered Chartered Physiotherapist. Since then, she has completed post graduate courses in acupuncture, taping and strapping sports massage and pitchside trauma care. She also has completed her O.A. Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Rachel’s current focus is undertaking her MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health at University College London with the aim of completing in September 2019. Sports injuries and rehabilitation is a particular passion as she works as the Physiotherapist for High Wycombe RUFC.

She joined the Complete Physiotherapy in 2016 and is based between Caversham and Loddon Vale GP practice.

In her spare time, she is a keen tennis player and is a past schools’ National Champion and still competes regularly. She does enjoy recreational running, when her own injuries don’t plague her.


Rita Manarte

BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Rita graduated from Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal in 2014, acquiring a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She moved to UK in June 2016  looking for new opportunities and to better herself as health professional.

Rita adopts a manual therapy approach to her physiotherapy treatment and is trained in acupuncture and clinical Pilates. Helping patients achieve their goals and optimise health is a priority for Rita and she is aiming to complete a course in Osteopathy to improve her knowledge and skills in manual therapy.

Outside of work Rita is a keen swimmer, enjoys walking her dog and travelling to experience new cultures.


Ruben Cordeiro 

BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Rúben graduated from CESPU University, Portugal in 2013, acquiring a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since then he has worked within the sport, musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and neurological fields.

In June 2016 he acquired a Master’s degree of Osteopathy in Techniques for the Locomotor System from the Madrid School of Osteopathy in cooperation with Pontíficia Salamanca University, Spain. This has allowed him to adopt a more manual approach to his treatments which he prides himself on. Rúben has special interest in biomechanical dysfunction, in-particular how they relate to sport and athletic performance.
He has completed post graduate courses in Sports Osteopathy, Trigger Points Therapy and Kinesio Taping.

Rúben enjoys a challenge that affords his personal and professional development and came to U.K. from Azores islands to focus treating neuromuscloskeletal and sports related conditions, joining Complete Physiotherapy in October 2016. In his spare time he loves to be outside running, swimming and travelling.


Viviana Leal

BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC Registered

Viviana graduated from ESTSP University, Portugal in 2013, acquiring a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. In 2014 she completed a course of Acupuncture for Physiotherapist and in September 2015 she acquired a Specialist’s degree in Manual and Orthopaedic’s Therapy.

Back in Portugal she worked within the musculoskeletal and neurological fields, mainly in nursing centres, care homes and clinic environment. She likes to be involved with elderly helping them improving their mobility as essentially to have a best quality of life.

Viviana moved to the UK in 2016 looking for new opportunities and challenges. She is passionate about what she does and with a particular interest in neurological, lower back and pelvis pathologies.

She joined the Complete Physiotherapy in 2018 and she also works with BUPA in a Nursing Centre for Complex Neurological Conditions.

Outside work she enjoys gym, reading, cooking and travelling


Alexa Duckworth-Briggs

BSc LSSMDip MISRM

Alexa studied for her qualification at the London School of Sports Massage and is qualified to assess, treat and rehabilitate soft tissue injuries and pain; in muscles and tendons. She sees patients with a wide range of issues from sports injuries to aches and pains.

Alexa is also a UK Athletics qualified Running Coach, and works with a wide range of runners to improve their technique, training and fitness and to help them achieve their goals. She also coaches at local running club Reading Roadrunners.

Previously, Alexa earned a BSc (hons) degree in Physics and spent a few years working in IT for some big tech companies before changing career and building on her expertise in Sports Massage and Run Coaching.

Away from work Alexa enjoys the outdoors, be that whilst running, walking, mountain biking or snowboarding.
