Happy New Year!

The Complete Physiotherapy Team are back after the Christmas holidays with charged batteries, new goals and new services to continue offering you the best care.

Whether you have goals to aid injury recovery, need assistance with post-operative rehabilitation, face chronic pain or have entered a marathon there are services that can help you.

Shockwave TherapyShockwave Therapy

Recent research has demonstrated that shockwave therapy enhances and resets healing patterns in chronic conditions when other treatments have failed. Shockwave reduces pain, stimulates metabolism and increases blood flow. This is highly recommended in tendinopathies, rotator cuff calcification, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, trigger points, carpal tunnel syndrome and back pain.

Rehabilitation classes

Our rehabilitation classes offer patients the opportunity to:

  • Enhance recovery from injury or surgery
  • Prevent recurrent injuries creeping back
  • Improve strength and control to achieve goals

Our classes are led by one of our Chartered Physiotherapists and are limited to six people ensuring you get the attention you need.

Running Coaching

Correct running technique can prevent injuries and ultimately boost performance!

Our Running Coach and Massage Therapist Alexa is now offering running technique analysis session as well as running coaching session.

The aim of each individualised session is to improve biomechanics, proprioception and balance ensuring correct your body position through strengthening and coaching. These sessions will help you to increase endurance and speed but also to reduce risk of injuries.

Biomechanical Assessment

A biomechanical assessment involves analysing the body, its alignment and how it functions. It is based on the cause-and-effect relationship between your foot, legs and upper body. The movement of one joint can influence the movements of another. For example, every time your foot hits the ground to take a step, any imbalances in the feet can influence the rest of the body.

During your Biomechanical Assessment we will analyse your joint mobility, muscle length and strength. This may highlight areas of tightness and weakness that can be addressed with a self-management programme that you will be given following your session. Highlighting areas that are not functioning efficiently can reduce risk of injuries in sport or physical jobs. It can also ensure you are in the optimum shape to achieve your goals.
